Currently trading for over 30 years under current owners, the Hielan Jessie is one of the few surviving traditional “Glesga Pubs” offering a very warm welcome in cosy surroundings. They have no TV, jukebox, pool table or gaming machines but they do have Karaoke Every Friday.
The pub is located on the ground floor of a fine tenement built in the Glasgow vernacular style dating from 1771, and boasts an impressive collection of 45 prints from famous Glasgow Photographer Oscar Mazaroli on permanent display.
The pub is close to the famous “Barras” Market and the iconic Barrowland concert venue. They are also approximately 5 mins walk from Glasgow Green, and one of Britain’s top tourist attractions, The Peoples Palace.
